A lazy Sunday Morning

On a lazy Sunday morning, my husband, my 3 year old son and I were all in the room lying down on our bed and playing. A little while later our son wanted to go to his favorite food chain Jollibee so I gave him a shower and dressed him up. After we're all dressed up, we went to the garage and prepare the motorbike which we will use as our transportation. But before we took off, we took pictures outside our home alternately with my husband.

And when we have arrived in the place, my son waved and said' "Hello, Jollibee!” He usually said this during all of our visits to the store. My husband and I just smiled to each other as we hear this from him. I could see my son is enjoying himself and happy to be with us. My husband ordered us our meal and my son kept pointing at a toy he wanted to have. When our order arrived my son was just too happy to play with his toy and too distracted to eat his meal so I was just spoon feeding him. We just spent an hour or two at the place just eating our favorite meal and seeing our son play and at the same time having a little conversation with my husband. So, as we finished our meal, we went outside the store and again took pictures of our son with a life size figure Jollibee at his back.

After that everyone was a little bit cheerful as we go back to our house and head directly to our room and continue our play. We felt so much happiness that my husband and I thought we couldn’t get from anybody else and we will always cherish the moment we have had with our son.

Learning Languages.

While English has become a global lingua franca over the past several decades, this infact, however does have little effect on my decision to learn a foreign language. The attitude that English alone is enough, infact, creates self-imposed limitations. To remain monolingual is to stunt my educational development, to restrict my communication and thinking abilities, and to deny myself the ability to fully appreciate and understand the world I live in. Learning another language opens up new opportunities and gives me perspective that I might have encountered otherwise. Personal, professional, social and economic considerations all point to the advantages of learning foreign languages.

That is why it's never too late for me to learn languages and I intend to learn Spanish language first and foremost. Learning Spanish language is my first attempt to acquire because some of my native languages have been influenced by Spanish words and it would be a lot easier for me to adopt. In my field of work, I have also been exposed more to a Spanish nationality and I usually find it hard to communicate to those who don't know how to speak English. It's very disheartening when you probably would have a lot to offer the person you want to communicate with. Accessibility nowadays is never too far from my grasp since online courses could also be arranged. And thanks to those I made connections socially who are willing to teach me some of the basic communication skills. It would help me learn the language a lot more fun!

Teachers....

It would take some effort in appreciating teachers. This is maybe due to a change of teachers as we change grades every year. Also we sometimes give importance to grades we get rather than the person responsible in evaluating our grades.

We later recognize that what are our perception or outlook in life much of these comes from what we learn from classrooms. Such realization then would we recognize the efforts done to us by our teachers.

Teachers are responded as second parents to children. They are responsible in molding the minds of the youth. This is an area where a teacher should take extra effort to show that they care. This is where they can exercise parental responsibility to the students entrusted to them.

The task given to teachers in not just limited in giving information or knowledge but rather goes beyond simple teaching. Their ability specially on matters of child psychology is one that a teacher should master.

But aside from equiping themselves with such capabilities a teacher should also love their profession. It is the area where teachers gathers their energy to teach deligently. Teachers who love their work can make a big difference in transforming the lives of those they teach.

Somehow the efforts our teachers extends to students are not given much recognition. Appreciation of one's effort is very necessary. For teachers, they must be responded with much respect. Although respect is to be earned rather than demanded due courtesy should be afforded to teachers.

Teachers appreciation could be shown through thoughtfulness. This has something to do with one's seriousness in studying a subject given by teachers. It is pleasurable for teachers to know that students learn with ease and joy about the subject they are studying.

Giving thanks to teachers effort is another way of appreciating teacher's hardwork. However only few have the time to express thanks to teachers and instructors. Very few however have realized the satisfaction a teacher would feel if they learn that their students have finished their courses and are successful in their chosen field of discipline.

The Best thing a Parent could give to a child: Education.

Parents would like to give the best for their child. For many, they would like their children to be prepared financially. To some they would give their children good food for good health.

However, what parents would like to give their children, many will agree that education is the best they could give to their children. It is what parents can give that nobody can take from them.

Education, prepares the child to face the future with confidence. The future offers only uncertainty. As such a child should be prepared to face the challenges in his life.

Education is Life. Thus, the saying; It starts from womb to tomb. If we talk about people who made names in history they always speak of the importance of education.

Education is a process where it shapes the mind of the child. It is very important that children should get the right education, so as to make them mentally prepared to become well rounded individuals.

In a highly competitive environment, an educated child will have a better chance for advancement, be it personal or financial.

A short Vacation

Summer has gone but memories of it still lingers in my mind. Spending summer vacation with my family is a moment to cherish. I could still recall the smell of fresh air, the laughter of my child and that knowing smile of my husband. Amidst the preparations and the hassles a day before the trip, everything was all worth it. Whoa!!! I'm getting sentimental here. Anyway, it was a well spent summer vacation at Camiguin Island. We arrived at the port of camiguin at around 11:00 in the morning and took a ride to Paras Beach Resort where we had our stay. When we arrived at the resort, people were so gracious and accommodating that made us feel we have choosen the right place to stay. In our room we decided to just take a few minutes to relax and settle down before we took our lunch. After having our lunch, my husband, my son and his nanny went back to our room while i made my siesta beside the pool. I have been awakened by my husbands voice, asking me to go out with him. I'm so thrilled because he prepared a ride for us and planned a tour around camiguin with just the two of us. It was a gloomy day and rain started to pour that only adds up to our adventure spirit. Riding in a motorbike, enjoying the rain and sights with my husband beside me makes me feel so happy. In every place we stop, we alternately took pictures of our selves, it was so much fun! Even if we're drained in the rain, it never stopped us from enjoying each other and the place. It took us an hour or two to get back to our hotel with a smile pasted on our faces. We were just in time when our son woke up from his sleep, so we immediately took our shower and played with him inside our room since the rain was pouring heavier.

Early in the morning, my husband rented a vessel to take us to the White Island. It was just a minute ride from the resort where we stayed. When we arrived there, it was already packed with people who were in their vacation too. I noticed that everyone were enjoying their side of the beach, some were riding jet ski, others were doing wind surfing, and some were just enjoying the beach and fooling around with their buddies and still others were parasailing! What a joyous sight it was! My son who seemed too eager to take a dip in the water asked me to change him for his swimming trunk. My husband and I were so enchanted by the water and its sorroundings that we took pictures of the place and we both enjoyed the sand and water too along with our son. Although, we only had a short time vacation and wasn't able to visit other tourist spots around camiguin it was a vacation worth remembering!
