Learning Languages.

While English has become a global lingua franca over the past several decades, this infact, however does have little effect on my decision to learn a foreign language. The attitude that English alone is enough, infact, creates self-imposed limitations. To remain monolingual is to stunt my educational development, to restrict my communication and thinking abilities, and to deny myself the ability to fully appreciate and understand the world I live in. Learning another language opens up new opportunities and gives me perspective that I might have encountered otherwise. Personal, professional, social and economic considerations all point to the advantages of learning foreign languages.

That is why it's never too late for me to learn languages and I intend to learn Spanish language first and foremost. Learning Spanish language is my first attempt to acquire because some of my native languages have been influenced by Spanish words and it would be a lot easier for me to adopt. In my field of work, I have also been exposed more to a Spanish nationality and I usually find it hard to communicate to those who don't know how to speak English. It's very disheartening when you probably would have a lot to offer the person you want to communicate with. Accessibility nowadays is never too far from my grasp since online courses could also be arranged. And thanks to those I made connections socially who are willing to teach me some of the basic communication skills. It would help me learn the language a lot more fun!

Teachers....

It would take some effort in appreciating teachers. This is maybe due to a change of teachers as we change grades every year. Also we sometimes give importance to grades we get rather than the person responsible in evaluating our grades.

We later recognize that what are our perception or outlook in life much of these comes from what we learn from classrooms. Such realization then would we recognize the efforts done to us by our teachers.

Teachers are responded as second parents to children. They are responsible in molding the minds of the youth. This is an area where a teacher should take extra effort to show that they care. This is where they can exercise parental responsibility to the students entrusted to them.

The task given to teachers in not just limited in giving information or knowledge but rather goes beyond simple teaching. Their ability specially on matters of child psychology is one that a teacher should master.

But aside from equiping themselves with such capabilities a teacher should also love their profession. It is the area where teachers gathers their energy to teach deligently. Teachers who love their work can make a big difference in transforming the lives of those they teach.

Somehow the efforts our teachers extends to students are not given much recognition. Appreciation of one's effort is very necessary. For teachers, they must be responded with much respect. Although respect is to be earned rather than demanded due courtesy should be afforded to teachers.

Teachers appreciation could be shown through thoughtfulness. This has something to do with one's seriousness in studying a subject given by teachers. It is pleasurable for teachers to know that students learn with ease and joy about the subject they are studying.

Giving thanks to teachers effort is another way of appreciating teacher's hardwork. However only few have the time to express thanks to teachers and instructors. Very few however have realized the satisfaction a teacher would feel if they learn that their students have finished their courses and are successful in their chosen field of discipline.
